LegalCookie Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

This policy explains how Lansdown Associates Ltd (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. They help the website work, remember your choices and tell us how the website is used. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a similar way, and this policy covers them too.

02

How we use cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work. These do not need your consent.

We only use statistics cookies, and load marketing content from third parties such as Google Maps, if you agree. When you first visit our website, a banner asks for your choice. You can change your mind at any time by selecting Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

Google Analytics tells us, in general terms, how people find and use our website, for example which pages are visited most. We use this to improve the website. We do not use it to identify you or for advertising.

Marketing: Google Maps (only with your consent)

Our website shows maps of our offices using Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may set its own cookies, for example to remember your preferences, and may use them for its own purposes, including advertising. We only load the maps if you accept marketing cookies. Otherwise, you will see a placeholder instead, and you can view our offices on Google Maps directly. Google explains how it uses cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Google Fonts

Our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Google Fonts does not set cookies, but when a page loads your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Our Privacy Policy explains more.

Other storage

Our website builder, Elementor, saves a count of the pages you view and your visits in your browser’s local storage, which it uses to decide when to show on-page features. WordPress also saves a small setting that checks whether your browser can display emoji. This information stays on your device and is not used to identify you.

04

Managing cookies

  • Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to accept or reject statistics and marketing cookies at any time.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website may not work.
  • To stop Google Analytics on all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
05

Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and, where needed, ask for your consent again.
