About Lansdown AssociatesA RICS regulated building consultancy
Chartered Surveyors, Architectural Technicians, Property Managers, Developers and Certified Drone Pilots, giving clear, commercially astute advice on building surveying, legal and regulatory, and design and development matters.
01Who we are
We explain the condition of a building, what it means for you, and what to do next, in plain language.
Lansdown Associates is a RICS regulated building consultancy with offices in Liverpool, Manchester and London. We bring together Chartered Surveyors, Architectural Technicians, Property Managers, Developers and Certified Drone Pilots to give clear, commercially astute advice on building surveying, legal and regulatory, and design and development matters.
Lansdown Associates was incorporated in 2018. We are a modern, progressive consultancy that works for homeowners, landlords, tenants, investors, solicitors and public bodies. Some clients come to us before they buy a home; others need a report that will be relied on in a lease negotiation, an insurance matter or a court claim.
02Our team
Because our team covers several property disciplines, we can look at a building from more than one angle.
Chartered surveyors
Our RICS Chartered (Building) Surveyors carry out inspections, diagnose defects and write the reports, from home surveys to dilapidations schedules and expert witness reports.
Architectural technicians
Architectural technicians bring design and construction detail knowledge, which helps when advising on remedial work, alterations and development projects.
Property managers
Our property management experience means we understand how buildings are run, maintained and budgeted for, which shapes practical advice on repairs and planned maintenance.
Developers
First-hand development experience helps us advise buyers, investors and developers on the commercial side of a property decision, not only its condition.
Certified drone pilots
Our certified drone pilots give us a safe way to view and record parts of a building that are difficult to reach. We offer a full range of drone services, including:
- Roof and façade inspections
- 3D photogrammetry models
- Data collection for Revit modelling and as-built AutoCAD drawings
- Thermal heat loss surveys
03RICS regulation and professional standards
Regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
We are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and our surveyors are RICS Chartered (Building) Surveyors. For you, this means we work to RICS professional standards and that our residential surveys follow the RICS Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 framework, so you know what each type of report covers.

06How we work
Plain-English reports
We explain what we found, why it matters and what to do about it.
Independent advice
Our job is to report on the building, not to sell remedial work.
Evidence you can rely on
Photographs, readings and clear reasoning, so reports hold up when they are challenged.
Commercial awareness
We think about cost, timing and negotiation, not only defects.
